“We have been using the Bogo Merino Rams for in excess of 12 years. In that time we have seen clean fleece weight increases, micron hold the same, and lambing percentage increases. The Bogo bloodline works very well in our mixed farming environment and we look forward to the next decade improving our wool even further.”

Campbell basnett, Nerragundah

“Following our return to the land in 2017 I joined several benchmarking groups, sought advice from neighbours & peers as well as wool/livestock agents in order to fast track the required knowledge to continue the self-replacing merino operation here at Nerragundah. We set 3-5 year breeding objectives and Mal Peake and the Bogo team have been an absolute standout in passing on their guidance and knowledge to make this possible. Mal has been all to happy to assist with all facets of the operation from ram selection prior joining, to classing ewes, to assisting with ongoing ram purchases in order to achieve these objectives. In recent years we have enjoyed some success in local & regional ewe competitions due to the genetical gains that Bogo have provided. Being able to continue the legacy that my father and grandfather have developed over the past 5 decades has been extremely rewarding and we look forward to continuing the partnership with Bogo well into the future.”

"We usually sell our wether lambs to Southern Meats at Goulburn at 10 months, dressing a drop average of 25kg-28kg with none left behind after cutting $40-$55 worth of wool. Bogo rams have improved our sheep by increasing wool cut, increasing doability, increasing weight gains, and reducing wrinkle whilst still maintaining a moderate mature ewe weight. It is great to see that Bogo is taking a progressive approach to animal welfare with their non-mulesing program".

GROGANVILLE PASTORAL COMPANY.

A few years back we purchased some 2014 Bogo wethers from a local farming family within the region.

We finished our annual shearing and are thrilled to report that these wethers averaged 7.7kg per head. In comparison to other sheep shorn Bogo wethers ended up cutting 0.7kg heavier than all others. We are really happy with these wethers and will definitely continue to look to source from Bogo.
